good eats

About a month ago, the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show came to the DC Convention Center, and Molly, my friend Lauren, her boyfriend John, and I got $75 tickets for $32 through Groupon!  (Seriously, they should start paying me for how often I mention them).  That included general admission to visit hundreds of food booths set up by local vendors AND tickets to see Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay, or Paula Deen!  Who do you think I picked?

PAULA, OF COURSE!

She actually didn't do very much cooking, just telling a lot of stories and jokes, but she had an assistant chef and her husband along to do the cooking, so we just loved hearing her talk and laugh!  It was right before Thanksgiving, so they cooked an amazing Smithfield ham.  Delicious!
