the civil wars

Collectively, I think Molly and Leanna are responsible for half the music I love, and I can live with that.  That just means I get a good mix of folksy and gangsta.  As such, my iTunes library has schizophrenia, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Back in the fall, Molly introduced me to The Civil Wars, a duo from Nashville, TN with a serious country bluegrass twang.  And they are FAN. TAS. TIC.  And they're coming to Jammin' Java next weekend!  I'm so excited!  And from what I hear, the rest of the world is, too, because I think pretty much everyone I know is going.

Anyway, their single, Barton Hollow, is also a free download on iTunes this week, so if you have iTunes and you love the video below, click here and be prepared to have it on repeat all day.

Oh! That's so neat that you have people like Molly and Leanna who supply you with the latest, greatest, up to datest music! I used to have a friend like that... jk ;)

In other news, this song/band reminds me of Rocco de Luca and the Burden. I love their music, especially "Colorful" and "Swing Low". Check 'em out!
